For Pleasure
Born 24th May 2014 Chestnut Warm Blood Colt Foal
Casper is a very good example of the modern sports horse, now been bred here in the UK. He challenges the quality being consistently bred in Europe & is living proof that you can now buy with confidence a UK bred sports horse.

His dam is by the renowned double Olympic Gold Medal winning “For Pleasure”, whom he directly resembles in looks, colour, markings & confirmation. – see picture of For Pleasure

His sire is our exciting young stallion, Halona Altimo who has been specifically selected for his breeding, type, temperament & agility. If anything is to go by his first 2 foals are exceptional.

Casper boast a very uphill conformation, athletic paces & striking looks, with perfect matching 4 white socks. He is the first colt been offered for sale from our Rochedo Stud as we feel he is definite stallion potential.
He will shortly registered with the AES with FULL Papers, making him eligible for licensing when he is older. Judging by his birth size & continued growth he is likely to mature well over 17 hh
Already eating hard feed & will be available at weaning, mid-November onwards.

Dam sire “For Pleasure” is a two-time Olympic Gold Medal winner, World Champion & Hanoverian Stallion of the year in 2000. He was a member of the gold medal-winning German show jumping team at the1996 Atlanta Olympics, and named German horse of the year in 1995. For Pleasure was ridden for the German team so successfully by Lars Nieberg and more recently by Marcus Ehning. He is one of the most sought after sires in Germany. His two Olympic team gold medals (Altanta and Sydney) make him one of the most successful currently competing breeding stallions. His sire, Furioso II, is considered one of the most influential sport horse sires in the world. Furioso II, in 1989, was the top sire in Germany based on money earned by his get. His bloodlines can be found in almost all recognized international studbooks in Europe. For Pleasure's damsire, Grannus' offspring are successful showjumpers around the globe. The black Anglo Arab Matcho was the winner of the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 1992 and has since founded his own stallion line in the Hanoverian breed.
